How to host a corporate golf night that people remember

By Fairway Club · May 2, 2026 · 4 min read

Indoor golf is the rare team event that works for everyone — the scratch player and the person who’s never held a club both have fun, because the format does the heavy lifting.

Pick a format that includes everyone

Closest-to-the-pin and a scramble are the two great equalizers. Nobody keeps a full round’s score, the good players carry a hole or two, and the whole room stays in it to the last shot.

Feed people at the bay

The night falls apart when you march everyone to a separate dining room. Keep the food and drinks flowing to the bays and the lounge, and the energy never breaks.

Keep it to two hours

The sweet spot is a ninety-minute competition with a short awards moment at the end. Long enough to feel like an event, short enough that it never drags.
